Don't fall in love with your solution. Fall in love with the problem.
- The drill:
- Write the problem in one sentence, no jargon.
- Name three specific people who have it (real names).
- Describe what they do today to cope. (If "nothing," the pain isn't real.)
- Estimate what bad outcomes the problem causes per month.
If you can't do this for your idea in 20 minutes, you don't understand the problem yet. Talk to humans, not your reflection.
