Market sizing without lying

Investors hate top-down market sizing ("the global X market is $400B, we'll get 1%"). Build bottom-up:

  • # of target customers in the US
  • × ARPU you'll charge
  • = your serviceable obtainable market.

If the answer is <$100M, you're not a venture-backable business. That's fine — but don't pretend.
